Documentation for the current beta product surface

Electronic Registry is a public registry for declarations and evidence. Use these pages to understand what the registry records, what it does not prove, and how the beta browser flows work in practice.

Record a file

How the browser hashing and recording flow works in the current beta.

What you do

Choose the exact file in your browser. The browser hashes it locally and sends only the resulting SHA-256 hash in the normal browser flow.

File types

Any file type can be selected in the normal browser flow, subject to the local helper size limit shown on the page.

Results

If the exact same hash already exists, the registry treats that as a successful no-change result. If it is new, a new record is written and one unit is consumed.
