Verify a record

How to confirm whether the exact same file or hash already has a registry record.

What to provide

Paste the SHA-256 hash or choose the exact file. The browser can hash the file locally for you in the verify flow.

Matching result

A positive result means the registry contains a record for that exact same file hash. It does not prove ownership, truth, legality, or official approval.

Publication check

If the file also has publication evidence attached, the verify surface can guide you to the publication-evidence check for the same recorded hash.
